M.C.A. ELEMENTARY FIRST AID/ RYA FIRST AID:
This course provides a basic course for everyone who goes to sea. It covers the basics of resuscitation, management of unconscious casualties, control of bleeding, and care of the survivor. It is commercially valid up to 60 miles and offered as a commercial and leisure users course
M.C.A.PROFICIENCY IN MEDICAL FIRST AID ON BOARD SHIP:
This course is the advanced first aid qualification for people who work at sea up to 150 miles offshore. It is offered as a commercial and leisure users course. Skills and understanding of first aid is furthered
M.C.A.PROFICIENCY IN MEDICAL CARE ON BOARD SHIP:
This is an intensive course in taking observations of the survivor, and training in practical skills and use of medications for persons in charge of medical care over 150 miles offshore. It is offered as a commercial and leisure users course
M.C.A. PROFICIENCY IN MEDICAL CARE REFRESHER:
This is an intensive course aimed at those who have been actively involved as the medic on board and covers the first aid and medical care syllabus in brief as an update course. This course can be arranged for groups over 3 or 4 days for the Proficiency in Medical Care Update certificate on successful completion
RYA FIRST AID:
This one day course for yachtsmen and small craft users, covers the basics of resuscitation, dealing with unconscious casualties, hypothermia, bleedig, shock and if required, use of Category C drugs. This training is suitable for small craft sailers operating up to 60 miles offshore.
FIRST AID AT WORK
This is the standard 3 day industrial first aid course and is based on the latest guidance of the Health and Safety Executive and (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course covers first aid in the work place.
