This is a  2 day course intended for those who wish to explore the use of computers afloat.

Many users of computers on board have expressed a desire for more training in the use of chartplotters and communication software to be available, so they can chose what best suits their needs, understand what they are using, and get the best out of the equipment.

We specialise in Nobeltec, Maxsea, Raytech and Seapro Chartplotters, and SSB and Iridium Communications

Day 1 Navigating with PCs

Essential for those using a PC based chart plotter etc.  Exercises in navigation,pilotage and weather routeing are the basis of this training.   Radar and AIS overlay facilities are also practised. 

Day 2 Communications and Weather Information

Covering two related topics, such as, E-mail and Internet access with obtaining weather information.  Software facilities with SSB,  Iridium and mobile phone communication are the core of this training.
